- We suggest washing your bundles once a week or twice a month. Always use moisturizing and hydrating products and use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Products that contain sulfate are extremely drying and damaging to the hair. Use a shampoo with oil in it, such as Keratin oil, Argan oil, or Moroccan oil.
- Before you install your bundles, we highly suggest that you shampoo them twice and condition them once for the best results. To avoid dull and stiff hair, make sure you completely rinse out the conditioner. Let your bundles hang dry or lay flat to air dry. Once dry, they are ready for install.
- You should always treat your extensions like your natural hair, so use good quality conditioning products. In order to keep your hair soft and manageable, conditioning your hair is very important. We suggest using a deep conditioner on your bundles once per week, but avoid using heavy styling products or oil.
- We recommend that you comb your hair every morning. Starting from the ends, gently brush your hair, working your way up towards your scalp. Starting from the ends is a good way to maintain the longevity of the extensions and keeps the pressure off the weft area.
- Before going to bed, gently brush your hair to remove all tangles, wrap your hair, or tie your hair into a ponytail; then cover with a satin scarf/bonnet or use a silk pillow case.
Curly/Wavy Extensions
- For best results: co-wash your bundles with cool water. Co-washing is a method to wash your hair without using shampoo and just using conditioner. Note that you should always use a cleansing conditioner. This method will keep the curl pattern nice and tight. Hot or warm water will loosen the curl pattern.
- While the hair is wet, you can apply a curl defining/curl control cream. This will stop the hair from frizzing, getting really big & poofy, and lock in the wave or curl. It will give the hair a nice, soft, and tamed wet look while it's dry.
- Most people think curly hair is low maintenance, but it actually requires the MOST up-keep. Curly hair needs to be wet EVERY SINGLE DAY, so you can apply the curl defining/curl control cream.
- Remember, the more heat that you use, the harder it is to revert the hair back to its natural curl or wave pattern.
- Before going to bed, gently brush your hair to remove all tangles, braid your hair into a couple of big braids, then cover with a satin scarf/bonnet or use a silk pillow case. Never sleep on wet hair. Sleeping on wet hair is known to matte hair and makes it very difficult to detangle.
